Environment Statement

 Steel is an environmentally sensible product. Each year, more steel is recycled than aluminum, paper, glass and plastic combined. All steel products contain over 30% recycled steel. All powder coating products contain no solvents. VOC emissions to the atmosphere are negligible if any.

 Established in 1939, Great-West Metal Ltd. is celebrating it’s 7th decade of manufacturing a wide range of sheet metal products for home, office, farm and industry. In its third generation of family ownership, our commitment to quality and service is stronger than ever.

 All Great-West Metal Products are proudly Canadian made by a dedicated, experienced and skilled work force at our 60,000 Square foot facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. With an emphasis on quality and service, our craftsmen work with galvanized steel, pre-painted and pre-plated steel as well as stainless steel to fabricate our product line.

 We firmly believe that our products are of superior quality and will outlast their plastic counterparts by many times. We often see our garbage cans exceeding 20 years of service and it’s not uncommon to come across a waste paper basket or pail we made in the 1940’s

 Our Winnipeg facility also boasts a large custom fabrication department capable of working with a variety of different metals. Stainless steel and aluminum are also among our areas of expertise.
